A cheerful good morning, dear reader(s). Well here I am, with 75 or so pound Lily on my lap, typing with two fingers to you. Q-FM continues to guide my way recently, and I must say I’m happy with that. Had a very nice day yesterday, with Dr. Larrimer (who is recovering from shingles!) giving me a good check up. Then mom and I got my new “art studio” (lol) set up in her dining room, and I’ve got a few of my alley treasures spread out and I must say I’m excited to get to work. The dinner with Jane Oman and Jack Chabot was wonderful and our server Linda (who’s a Dreamer!) was excellent. I couldn’t help thinking that maybe if we got mom, Linda and myself to a march on Washington maybe we could get this country out of the current mess it’s found itself in—I’ve definitely got my own dreams myself (winkedy wink).
Today is busy with my swim gals Zoom at 11:00, then Dr. Levy FaceTime at 2:00. I’m hoping we can keep my medication at the current levels, though I am going to inquire if my Gabapentin can be reduced as my anxiety seems much more controlled at this higher level of Risperdal. Michael just expressed some concern about me listening to Q-FM, as I did that before I got sick in several past episodes…but honestly readers, I feel completely sane (well, as sane as a person can be in this society of ours). I just enjoy hearing these rock tunes from my younger years, they stimulate my creativity and help my writing.
From talking to mom, I just feel compelled to try and make some “comment” on this current state of affairs in this country—but to do so in my way, a moderate, quasi-controlled way (though I hate (?) being controlled). I seriously doubt anyone will truly understand what I’m trying to say, but that’s ok. I mean how do you capture what’s basically doing the cha-cha with a Cray computer? Most people don’t even know what a Cray is (fortunately I saw, I think, some when I did my tour of the National Labs back in the early ‘90s).
So anyways, off I go on my road less traveled, by all means come along with me! Hopefully we can make sense of nonsense. And always remember: An unexamined life is not worth living!
